Strengthening the brand: fresh new corporate design.

Task

Linkgroup was given the opportunity to develop a new corporate design for NewRe and give the brand a facelift. Even though NewRe is proud to be part of the Munich Re Group, the idea is for the company to be perceived as an independent global player with its own identity. Among other things, Linkgroup developed fresh, highly expressive key visuals to meet this aspiration. In close collaboration with the NewRe manage-ment team a new design was developed and implemented in phases. The result is an independent image clearly differentiated from the competition in Switzerland and the rest of the world, especially thanks to its humourful approach.

Client

New Reinsurance Company Ltd. (NewRe) is a Swiss reinsurer founded in Zurich in 1926. In 1988, NewRe became part of Munich Re Group, one of the world’s leading reinsurers. In the course of its long history, NewRe has consistently adapted to a changing market environment and client needs. While in the past NewRe concentrated primarily on traditional property and casualty reinsurance, in recent years it has evolved into a leading provider of structured life and non-life solutions. NewRe also offers weather deriva-tives and parametric trigger cover, and has successfully specialised in variable annuity reinsurance and capi-tal market solutions for the life business.
