Collaborating for sustainable outcomes

Interroll
ESG Interroll cover

For its Sustainability Report 2024, Interroll Holding AG opted for a blend of online experience and classic PDF. Linkgroup was responsible for the overall concept and design and overseeing implementation on the collaborative Workiva platform, while Sustainserv contributed to content creation and furthermore to data and information collection. With the switch to Workiva, the entire reporting process is now digital, automated and efficient.

Online report: a conveyor belt as a guiding thread

Concept, development, UX/UI design, illustration and programming of the online report were all carried out in-house at Linkgroup. At the heart of the design is a conveyor-belt infographic that makes the sustainability achievements of 2024 clear at a glance. This visual metaphor – inspired by Interroll’s core business – works as a guiding thread throughout.

Sustainability report as a smart web PDF

Alongside the online report, an interactive smart web PDF was created on Workiva, produced through a collaborative, error-resistant workflow – and, thanks to the cloud solution, with great flexibility in terms of time and place.

Collaboration for lasting impact

Interroll’s Sustainability Report 2024 was developed in close cooperation between Linkgroup and its partner company Sustainserv. Moving the process to the cloud-based Workiva platform made it possible to streamline workflows and design them efficiently and collaboratively – avoiding time-consuming PDF correction rounds and endless email exchanges.

An interactive user experience

The approach conceived and delivered in-house by Linkgroup brings together content strategy, illustration and animation to create an interactive user experience. The result is a sustainability report that serves the needs of all stakeholder groups.

“We particularly liked the innovative visual approach of the online report, as it reflects our business so convincingly. The Workiva platform enabled seamless collaboration between all involved parties, which was especially important with Sustainserv also playing its part in the report’s creation. All in all, a highly satisfying project!”
