For Georg Fischer’s 2025 annual report, Linkgroup developed the overarching design concept and managed the creative direction and execution of the entire report family. Focus was placed on delivering a bold visual identity, a clear information architecture and a clear design link between the annual report and the CSRD-aligned sustainability reporting.
Design logic, editorial consistency
Georg Fischer’s 2025 annual report brings financial performance, strategy, sustainability and corporate governance together into one comprehensive reporting suite.
For its design, Linkgroup developed a consistent, modular and brand-defining reporting system – covering everything from the guiding conceptual idea, layout, visual language and typography to charts, tables and final production. The CSRD report was also incorporated into this design logic, created with an independent identity yet clearly connected to the new reporting family.
Complex data presented clearly
An annual report on this scale has to bring many different types of information together. Key editorial challenges lay in the company’s strategic realignment and in communicating topics such as divestments, investments and mergers. Linkgroup developed a design approach that structures this complexity and gives content a clear visual hierarchy. Chapter openers, margin notes, infographics, tables, KPI modules and image spreads guide readers through the report, striking the right balance between emotional appeal and factual precision.
CSRD report integrated into the reporting architecture
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is significantly raising the bar for sustainability reporting: content must be structured, transparent, auditable and fully aligned with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Georg Fischer’s 2025 sustainability report was prepared in accordance with CSRD requirements and current ESRS guidelines.
For Linkgroup, this meant the CSRD report, too, was to be designed in a way that balanced regulatory depth with readability and brand impact. Tables, key figures, disclosures and explanatory content were translated into a clear visual system that reduces complexity and facilitates orientation. The goal was to create a CSRD report that forms an integral part of a coherent reporting architecture – turning what was once a disjointed reporting landscape into a unified reporting family.
Accessibility made real
To make the entire report as accessible as possible, selected articles from the Management Report were produced as audio versions – including the English-language Letter to Shareholders. These audio tracks are available on the corporate website and linked directly within the report via icons and QR codes.
Design concept and creative direction under one roof
The aim was to create a visual presence that strengthens the brand, provides structure to content and guides readers smoothly through complex topics. With the 2025 annual report, the format shifted from portrait to a more contemporary landscape layout. The design concept links corporate design precision with editorial readability. Spacious layouts, clean typography, visual chapter structures, consistent charting and a thoughtful balance of copy, imagery and data deliver a report that works both as a whole and when read chapter by chapter. Through the interplay between concept, creative direction and execution, the annual report is transformed into a premium reporting publication that truly reflects the brand.
“With the 2025 annual report, we wanted to bring financial reporting, corporate development, sustainability and the spirit of Georg Fischer together in a clear, high-quality design. Linkgroup developed a compelling concept and delivered the entire reporting family with exceptional precision, creativity and reporting expertise.”
