Finnova’s extranet gives business partners access to all the information they need on products, training and events in one safe, central location. The platform undergoes constant further development in a structured software process – securely, scalably and with partner support.
All in one place
Having already built Finnova’s corporate website, Linkgroup was asked by the client to develop an extranet in the same look and feel. The goal was to give Finnova's business partners a single destination for all the information they need on products, training and events – and ensure that it was safe and reliable. The result is a solution that slots seamlessly into the existing IT architecture whilst integrating a range of third-party systems.
A structured product catalogue offers a clear overview of all Finnova products, including updates and decommissionings. The Academy section allows users to complete further training and earn certifications in Finnova products. Users can also register for informational and corporate events, while the Media Hub provides access to a range of publications and Finnova Sessions.
Individual access
Flexibility in managing roles, permissions and access rights to the extranet was a key priority for Finnova. At the heart of the solution is a finely graduated access management system built on the Auth0 platform. Linkgroup developed a bespoke component through which Finnova can precisely control which customer groups can see which content – ensuring every user receives exactly the information relevant to them, nothing more and nothing less.
A complex architecture built to grow
Technically, the extranet is based on the same three core components as the corporate website: the Craft content management system with Microsoft Dynamics integration, an access management layer developed specifically for Finnova and the Angular frontend framework. This clear system architecture eliminates duplication and ensures smooth operations throughout. One of the more demanding aspects of the project was integrating a range of third-party systems, such as CRM, ticketing and authentication. The architecture has been deliberately designed to allow additional systems to be connected at any time. Given the high demands placed on security and reliability across the extranet solution, quality assurance plays a critical role.
Ongoing software development
Linkgroup supports the full software lifecycle – from concept and UX/UI design through to technical implementation, operations and maintenance. Further development follows clearly defined releases, always in close coordination with Finnova.
The extranet is not a finished project but a digital product that continues to evolve. The collaborative partnership between Linkgroup and Finnova provides the foundation for a platform that remains stable, secure and future-proof.
“With the new extranet, we have created a central platform through which our business partners can quickly and securely access all the information they need. Linkgroup understood our requirements and has developed a solution that integrates seamlessly into our system landscape. Particularly valuable to us is the collaborative working relationship and the platform’s continual development.”
